Elinor G. Constable
Elinor Greer Constable (born 1934) is a diplomat and former United States Ambassador to Kenya (1986–89).〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://history.state.gov/departmenthistory/people/constable-elinor-greer )〕 She was nominated for the position by Ronald Reagan.
She graduated from Wellesley College and speaks Spanish and Urdu.〔 Before becoming ambassador, she had a career as a Foreign Service officer.〔 After leaving her post as ambassador, she was Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs from 1993 to 1995.〔 She is a member of the American Academy of Diplomacy.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.academyofdiplomacy.org/members/bios/Constable.htm )〕 She was married to the late Peter Dalton Constable, former Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai Peninsula and for ambassador to Zaire.
